AboutMy name is Fransua Rachmann and I have been coaching tennis for more than 24 years. I coached in South Africa, UK, USA and in Dubai in the UAE. Now I live in North Bay, Ontario with my wife and 2 beautiful kids. We have a great tennis club in town with 6 courts and our club is very busy in the summer. But the winters up here can be harsh and we currently have no indoor tennis courts. I do still coach some tennis in schools in the winter and have even been driving to the nearest indoor courts in Sudbury (130km away) to coach and play! (Us tennis players got to get our "fix")

Made in Canada
With the cold snowy Northern Ontario winters without outdoor tennis I realised people need some device to keep playing tennis at home.
I also wanted another coaching aid to help my players practice their skills during and between lessons.
I looked online for solutions but the hitting walls and other rebounders lacked what I needed for myself and for my clients. And the prices of these rebounders were also discouraging.
So I decided to build my own rebounder and tested numerous materials and designs until I found one that is lightweight, quiet and almost unbreakable. After getting the bigger rebounder right and getting feedback from club members and from my own crew at home, I realised I need another rebounder for inside that young children can use.
Even before he could walk, my son (now 4 years old) was the happiest with a ball in his hand and hitting, kicking or throwing it, so I had to find a way to keep him busy, all our breakables in the house safe and his mother and older sister sane. So I made the first Little Sports Buddy for him and he tried to be patient every time I took it back into the workshop to start from scratch or change things. The little rebounder took shape slowly but surely until the sides (so the ball don't roll off so easily and hit toys next to the rebounder) and the mini basketball net were part of the design.
He is an amazing little athlete by now with excellent hand eye coordination and I have no doubt that the "My Little Sports Buddy" standing between all his other toys where he can play with it any time has a lot to do with it.
